The place · Mizata by Antiresort
We didn’t rent the entire place. But it’ll feel like it.
Mizata by Antiresort is a regenerative jungle resort on El Salvador’s Pacific coast, built on the idea of being wilder than a resort and deeper than a vacation. Black volcanic sand on one side, thick tropical gardens on the other.
The treehouses stand about twelve feet up on teak, with furniture handmade by Salvadoran carpenters, a king bed, a hot rain shower and an open porch with a hanging net to lie in. Beachfront houses look straight out over the Pacific. Jungle houses sit just behind them in the green, catching the sunrise.
Around you are a yoga shala, a sauna and cold plunge, a spa and Útero, the property’s temazcal, where a Mayan guide leads a steam ceremony of release and renewal. Our group has its own cluster of treehouses and a retreat house, so the place feels like ours for five days.
