Beautiful Detours

About Beautiful DetoursSomewhere between where you are and where you’re going, there’s a detour worth taking.

We create retreats, evenings and wellness experiences for people who want to see the world differently and come home more like themselves.

The detour way

Six things every detour holds.

Whether it lasts three hours or five days, a detour is built from the same parts. We adjust the mix for the place and the people.

Move

Start in the body

Sunrise yoga, breathwork, a hike before the heat. Every day opens with movement that meets you where you are.

Sound & breath

Change the frequency

Sound journeys and guided breath that settle the nervous system and open a different way of seeing things.

Nourish

Eat like you live here

Local, seasonal food cooked well. Real meals at real times, so your body never has to guess.

Wander

Go somewhere new

Volcanoes, rainforest, hot springs, a village festival. Adventure with a local guide, never a tour bus.

Gather

Find your people

A small, curated group, a long table and conversations that keep going after the trip ends.

Return

Bring it home

Every detour ends with simple practices you keep using on an ordinary Tuesday.

Travel with intention

Go somewhere new. Stay grounded in what keeps you well.

The best trips change your perspective without wrecking your sleep, your body or your week. We protect the routines that keep you steady and use everything else to open you up.

The founder

Quinton John

Quinton has spent the past decade traveling widely, from backpacking across Asia to volunteering in East Africa, and has met remarkable people at every turn. His career spans luxury hospitality and the wellness industry in both Los Angeles and New York, and he is a trained sound facilitator.

He founded a marketing agency on what comes naturally to him: bringing the right people together. Beautiful Detours extends that work. It shares his way of seeing the world, open to new places and new people, while staying grounded in what keeps you well.

For facilitators

Host a detour with us.

You bring the practice and the presence. We handle everything else: scouting the place, partners, payments, guest intake, safety and filling the room. You keep the teaching and the relationship with your guests.
